Macella is a family-run business, proudly based in Hong Kong with a mission to provide women with high-quality yet affordable shirts that they can style to their choice.

Women come in all shapes and personalities, and we at Macella believe that a woman’s shirt should reflect her as an individual. You can customize your Macella shirt to your size and level of fit as well as choose the style of the collar and cuffs and many other personalized options.

Macella was founded by Viveka Mansukhani, a woman born with a love of clothes and fabrics. After graduating from university in Canada, Viveka embarked on a career in shipping in Hong Kong which took her to Singapore and Germany.

On returning to Hong Kong in 2004, Viveka directed the operations of men’s tailoring outfit Macomber, meeting with company’s fabric suppliers and the team of tailors on a daily basis. Viveka soon realised that while Hong Kong has a well-deserved reputation for tailoring, most of it caters only to men, and so Macella was born.

With her twin daughters now studying overseas, Viveka spends her weekends pursuing her hobbies. You will find her hiking the hills of Hong Kong, curled up on the sofa reading a book or in her hobby room, listening to true crime podcasts while stitching herself a new outfit for the week ahead.
